The Story Behind

About the Builder:

Brian Moore was founded in 1992 as a manufacturer of high end, custom made electrics guitars, blending art with technology. The first instrument design was the MC/1, a joint design effort between Brian Moore and Patrick Cummings, that featured an ergonomic neck thru design. It blended the strength and sustain of advanced composite material with the tone and beauty of wood.

Brian Moore was Ned Steinberger’s right hand man, reportedly in charge of the moulding of the graphite resin parts. He broke away in the early 90’s and started making his own line of high-end guitars, launching with the above mentioned MC/1.

It uses a single carbon fibre/resin ‘monocoque’ floorpan, to which the headstock facing, fingerboard and exotic wood body front are all attached, creating a chambered, curved and very modern-looking solid body guitar. It also has an innovative jack socket bevelled into an inconspicuous point high on the rear of the body at a very cable-friendly angle.

The company had a tough time in its early years – the instruments were very expensive considering their apparent ease of manufacture and their quite radical design didn’t seem to appeal to players.

After the MC/1 the all wood C-series design came next and echoed many of the unique design elements of the flagship MC/1 such as the comfort contoured top, sculpted headstock and the highest figured maple wood tops available.

Brian Moore continues building electric guitars today.

About the Guitar:

The guitar was originally built for the fantastic guitarist Richard Hallebeek. He has bought the guitar in 1998 from Brian Moore Custom Shop and recorded many CD's with it. On a CD, the guitar legend Shawn Lane played the guitar.

The pickups are a DiMarzio Air Norton in the neck position, a Suhr Landau single coil in the middle and a DiMarzio ToneZone in the bridge position. The three magnetic pickups can be used conventionally with the silver knobs: volume, tone and 5-way switch. The tone control is a push-pull pot to switch to the single coil neck pickup.

The black knobs control the volume of the RMC piezo system for incredibly realistic acoustic sounds.

The silver knobs and switches are also used to control a Gitarrensynths (Roland, Axon, etc) over the 13-pin connector.

Sonically, everything is possible ... from woody hot jazz to fusion to metal. This guitar also produce acoustic tones or synth mix.

Explore guitar computer connectivity! The C90P.13 continues the high end tradition in an all wood bolt-on instrument of Brian Moore's guitars. It echoes many of the unique features of the ground breaking MC/1. Utilizing the finest in light weight sound woods, the result is an instrument with natural sustain and a warm, yet flexible tone.
