About the guitar:
This is Leslie West's 1986 Gibson Les Paul Jr. "Prototype" that was signed to Leslie by Les Paul. Gibson gave the first of the re-issued line (this guitar) as a gift to Leslie "In honor of all that he did for that model by playing it to death". Leslie received this guitar while playing with BTO on the Van Halen 5150 tour. The guitar is shown in the 1987 January issue of Guitar World magazine which has a full article and photo of Leslie with the guitar.
