About the Guitar:
This is a 'SEC' Guitar. The official line when Gibson had marked factory seconds (stamped SEC) was that these guitars had a cosmetic flaw that didn't otherwise affect the playability or structural integrity of the instrument.
Those guitars ended up with employees of the company or artists endorsed by the company got those guitars when visiting the showroom.
This guitar ended up with Michael Schenker who used it in some concerts and worked hard on it. This can be seen in the numerous dings the guitar shows today.
