The Story Behind

 

About the Guitar:
This Hughie Thomasson 1998 Fender USA Stratocaster is coming from another member of the band Hughie played with: The Outlaws. Hughie had a large collection of Fender Stratocaster and he did not use this one too much. He had the guitar for 8 years and it did tour with him all the time. He gave it to the band member in 2006 when the later one left the band. He had everyone else in the band sign it and kept it for 6 years.
 
The guitar was fitted with a pearloid pick-guard on Hughies request. It originally had a black pick-guard.
 
This is where Ed Roman, who fitted the new pick-guard, got the idea to do the Pearlcaster. The early version of those guitars went to Hughie.
