About the Guitar:

The Fender Artist Series Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Strat Electric Guitar reflects Vaughan's deep roots, traditional style, and preferred Strat features. This smoker comes armed with 3 Tex-Mex single-coils including an extra-hot bridge pickup, a special tinted maple V-shaped neck, vintage machine heads, original synchronized tremolo, and custom tone control wiring. Alder body, Schaller strap-lock-ready buttons, and medium-jumbo frets.

This guitar was owned by Ted Turner, who used this guitar extensively. He made also substantial changes to the original layout of the guitar. He changed tuners and scratch-plate, ... The guitar was basically rebuild around the Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Strat body.

A special occasion to use this guitar was the recording of his first solo album: Eclektic Value (2010). The guitar was uses on two songs of this CD: This Girl and Navasat. The guitar was used to record the solo that can be heard on the single "This Girl" and Ted is very proud of this solo he considers as one of his bests.
