The Hohner ST Scorpion was made between 1987 and 1994. It came with EMG Select pickups: one humbucker and two single coils controlled by 3 mini selector switches and a coil tap in the tone knob. The Hohner ST Scorpion had an optional Steinberger KB locking tremolo.
In the late '80's and early '90's the Hair Rock changed the look of the guitars. Many guitar players customised their guitars using the talent of air brush artist, like Eddie Alexander Meeks (see one of his guitars in our collection: Roscoe). The art work of this guitar was commissioned by Roland Weiland, a Luxembourg guitar player and amp builder in 1992. Artist is a local air brush painter Guy Hary. The guitar was used in 1992 during a performance by Guy Hary, who was creating paintings while Roland Weiland and his bandmate of Crash did a musical performance. This was called Brush end Crash. The performance took place during the Rock'n Riesling Concert, 31 October 1992.
Anyhow the artwork is still stunning today and gives this guitar a great look.
