About the Guitar:
This guitar has been custom build in 1998 for Gabriel Gordon by Terry McInturff.
Gabriel Gordon has played guitar and recorded with Natalie Merchant since 1998. He is featured on Merchant’s Live (CD and DVD released in 1999), Motherland and House Carpenter’s Daughter CDs in addition to the VH1 Storytellers DVD, several TV appearances and concert tours. Gabriel has also opened her shows as a solo acoustic act and will join her again when she goes back into the studio.
Currently based in France, Gabriel has also released his own records, a mixture of soul, rock and blues (through Surprise Truck in the States, Trocadero and Soular in Europe) including one CD entitled Planetary Man with his father, blues guitarist Ashford Gordon. Over the years has also recorded, written and/or toured with such artists as Leona Naess, Meshell N’Degeocello, the Soup Dragons,T-Bone Burnett, Jason Darling, Laurie Anderson, Joan Osborne, and Madeleine Peyroux, among others.
