About the Guitar:
The Fender Strat Plus is a series of electric guitars made by Fender from 1987 to 1999. It is a variation of the Fender Stratocaster model. There were three models in the Strat Plus series; the Plus, the Plus Deluxe which was introduced in 1989, and the Ultra, introduced in 1990.
Special features of the Strat Plus are LSR Roller nuts The idea with the roller nut was to improve tuning while using the tremolo as the strings could freely move. To use these effectively no string tree was fitted to the head of the guitar.
The Plus Series used in 1993 locking tuners from Schaller. The bridge is a of a 2-point floating American type.
This is a modified version of a Fender Strat Plus as used by Jeff Kollman. It was used by Jeff on the latest Asia featuring John Payne live appearences.
